So, In this blog post you will be getting a complete list set of home remedies to protect yourself and your family against COVID – 19. This is not specially for COVID -19, but if you follow these home remedies everyday, I can assure you that you will get a coverage of 85 % to 90 % regarding other diseases and infections.
If you can keep your immunity and body’s metabolism high then you will have very less chances to fall in COVID situation.

Tip 1 : Consume Turmeric / Curcumin milk
Turmeric and Curcumin is very well known for its anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, medicinal properties and antioxidant effects.
It has lots of medicinal and antibacterial properties which is capable to fight several diseases. Having a glass of warm milk with one teaspoon of turmeric or curcumin powder before going to bed ( 30 minutes prior ) can actually benefit you. This will increase you immunity and keep your body’s resistance power higher.
If everyday it is not possible for you then, try to have this golden milk atleast 4 to 5 times a week.
Tip 2 : Have Mulethi ( Licorice )
Mulethi, also known as Licorice is an old age herb that has been used for its exceptional health promoting properties. It is an Ayurveda herb which is believed to cure several disease causing germs and bacteria. It has the potential to stop the growth of bacteria and viruses in your body. Thus, increases your immunity power to a greater extent.
You can take a piece of mulethi stick and boil it in a pan of water. After 10 minutes of rigorous boiling you can filter the water out and drink the medicinal drink. Consider to have 200 ml to 500 ml of this drink atleast thrice a week.
Also you can simply wash the mulethi stick. After that, chew on the tip of a small mulethi root for couple of minutes to get the most out of this medicinal root.
Many people soak around a teaspoon of mulethi in a glass of water and keep it for overnight. Then you can have this drink after filtering first thing in the morning. You can also warm the liquid and add few drop of lemon and honey for a better taste.
Tip 3 : Intake of Apple Cider Vinegar ( ACV )
Apple Cider Vinegar is generally extracted from the fermentation of apple juices which is obtained by crushing the apples.
The process involves crushing of apples and after that squeezing out the juice from it.
Apple Cider Vinegar is used widely for fat loss solutions, immunity maintenance, maintaining a high digestion, keeping your metabolism active, regulatory of good gut bacterias, it can be used in hair for several effective purposes and skin to get a good quality skin.
Having Apple Cider Vinegar everyday in right dosage will boost your health factors and benefit you tremendously.
A significant dose is 1 – 2 tablespoons (15 ml – 30 ml) mixed with water ( 500 ml ). You can consume it in empty stomach as soon as wake up. Or you can have it half an hour before your meals. Considering having ACV in luke warm water for better absorption and result.
Tip 4 : Make ginger and honey part of your daily diet
Ginger is fully loaded with several antioxidants ( compounds that prevent stress and damage to your body cells ). They may help your body fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, blood sugar level, improve your body immunity and prevent from diseases of the lungs.
Whereas, Honey has antioxidant compounds called polyphenols which may play a role in preventing heart disease, increasing your metabolism rate and immunity.
You can have ginger water, honey lemon warm water, ginger honey tea or directly include them in your meal plan. Have these two vital food components atleast alternating days to keep your body functionality proper and immunity higher.
Tip 5 : Wash your hands often / Use hand sanitizers
This is the most profound and preventive tip you must have seen everywhere. Keep washing your hands with soap and water for 15 to 20 seconds, every 45 minutes. This will help to eliminate the virus and bacteria present ( if present ) in your hand. And will stop promoting its pathway from your nose, ear canal, eyes or mouth.
You can definitely use hand sanitizer but too much use of hand sanitizer is not at all recommended. It will make your hands more dry and flaky. Use hand sanitizer spray and keep them handy with you.
Tip 6 : Gargle regularly
Gargling regularly with warm water has several benefits. It can sooth your sore throat, prevent the growth of micro-bacterial infections in your throat. This prevention of infection will increase your body’s immunity.
You can consider to mix two teaspoons of salt in 500 ml of warm water. It is believed that adding salt to water or foods can also cause microbial cells to undergo osmotic shock. This shock results in the loss of water from their cells. This results in the retarded growth of germs and microbial cells.
Tip 7 : Take steam vaporizer everyday
Taking steam vaporizer everyday can actually benefit you in several ways. It can clear your blocked nose, sooth your throat, internally clean your ear canal and promote the growth of several bacteria and viruses.
There is no evidence that steam inhalation can fight COVID viruses but with various infused ingredients, it will lower and suppress the virus. While it may help ease symptoms like congestion, reduce your cold symptoms and thus control your immunity by controlling your cold symptoms.

Yogurt, kimchi, buttermilk, natto, pickles, curd are few super probiotic foods. Consider adding them daily in your diet meal plan. You can also consume probiotic tablets available in the market. Remember, to opt for the best quality and healthy product.
Tip 10 : Multivitamin tablets
Remember, there is some truth to the idea that multivitamins can help immunity. It can help ward off disease and other health problems but only if you are severely malnourished. So, multivitamin formulations will do little to help you stay healthy if you are healthy already.

Remember to have a good sleep of 7 hours everyday. Work is a continuous process that will carry on for lifetime. Doing over time and not getting proper rest is not at all advisable in this stage. You need to take proper care of yourself so that you can give your full focus on your work. Try to minimize your stress level.
Getting a proper sleep cycle will help your immune system to be in best state and keep your cells active.
If you are facing issues in getting a good sleep cycle you can practice few things like :
Taking a hot shower before going to bed, Keeping the room dark as much as possible, For good aroma you can burn a couple of good incense sticks before going to bed, Do not have a heavy meal atleast 2 hours before going to bed, Try to meditate for 20 minutes before going to bed.
Tip 16 : Manage Work from home and reduce stress
In this phase almost all the employees are doing work from home. So it is very important to take a break of 10 minutes in every hour. This will help you in maintaining your focus, prevent muscle cramps, back pain and improve your spinal strength.
Working continuously for a long time will decrease your eye sight in long run, make your mindset and concentration low and will make you more agitated towards your work.

Tip 18 : Yoga, Meditation, Exercises
It is extremely important for you to stay highly active in this phase. All the gyms, jogging tracks and fitness clubs are closed due to this pandemic. Hence, you have to find a proper solution to stay active during this phase. Otherwise, you can get triggered with high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes and obesity issues.
If you own a big terrace or space where you can do brisk walking you can opt for that. Brisk walking for 30 minutes will be quite beneficial for you. You can get involved in activities such as skipping, stretching, yoga’s, push ups. If you own a small space in which you have few gym equipment’s you can opt to choose it. Maintain a regularity and discipline to spend atleast 30 to 45 minutes everyday doing fitness exercises.
Meditation is the technique which everyone should follow. Whether it is lock-down period, COVID – 19 duration or normal routine, you should adopt this habit.
It will benefit you in several ways. Reduce your work stress, Improves your concentration, Makes you less stressful, Will reduce your anxiety and keep your mental connection fit. Make a habit of practicing meditation for a duration of 30 minutes everyday.
Tip 19 : Sanitize your home / gadgets often
It is highly advisable to keep sanitizing your home often during this period. Keep sanitizing your mostly used parts like door nobs, handles, outer grills, curtains. You can use a good quality ( more than 70 % alcohol ) based sanitizer spray.
Sanitize all equipment’s, gadgets, tools which you touch and operate daily at your home or office daily and frequently.
Tip 20 : Avoid visitors
During this pandemic times avoid entertaining any visitors to your home / office. Don’t allow them inside until and unless it is very urgent.
You never know who proves to be a transmitter of this disease. Stay at home and keep yourself safe until and unless this pandemic situation lightens.
Tip 21 : Social Distancing / Mask culture
Do I need to remind you how important social distancing has become ?
Please do not step outside of your house. This is the key mantra.
For any urgent reason if you have to step out please follow the rules of social distancing. Always wear a high quality mask. Do invest few extra bucks while purchasing a mask because there should be no compromise with your health. Wash your hands often.
Always carry hand sanitizers with you. These days hand sanitizers are available in spray form making it easier to use them.
